Janet James FNP, DNP has been a resident of WNC for most of her life and has enjoyed working as a Nurse and as a Nurse Practitioner for more than 40 years! Janet studied at several Universities to advance her education in Nursing receiving her Masters Degree (MSN) from Western Carolina University and a Doctorate (DNP) from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She has a particular interest in Women’s Health and Addiction Medicine, Mental Health and Wellness.

Dr. Michael Brown was Born in Waynesville. Attended East Carolina School of Medicine. Practiced Emergency Medicine for 11 years then joined his father in Family Medicine in 2002. He is the current owner of Hazelwood Family Medicine. He has special interests in Dermatology including cosmetic work. He also offers EMSCUPLT NEO body sculpting and Emsella treatments for incontinence and pelvic floor strengthening.
Joined the practice in 2022 as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Haywood County native. Registered Nurse in the community for 23 years. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University. Master’s degree with family nurse practitioner certification from East Tennessee State University.
